The heartiest breakfast in all the land!

WARNING
If you are starting off your new year with that one diet, you know... the one where you eat cabbage soup for fifteen days, run 9 miles an hour and slather yourself with maple syrup and cayenne pepper because it "detoxes" you....this post is not for you :)

Avert your eyes! The following breakfast meal is high in calories and rich in wonderful, filling fiber :)

Peanut Butter and Cranberry Oatmeal
Serves 2

You will need:
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1 cup milk
2 TBS peanut butter (or any other nut butter you prefer)
1TBS honey
1TBS ground flax
3 TBS dried cranberries
1 TBS butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice

First, put all ingredients except the oats in a small saucepan:

Melt all those yummy ingredients (except the oats, now...be patient). It will look like this:

After all the yummy goodness is melted, pour in your half cup of oats, remove from heat and stir. Let sit for about two minutes or until it reaches desired thickness. I like mine thick...i mean super goopy, people! But some prefer their oats less...well...slimy. :) The mixture will look runny at first, but trust me, those oats will soak up all that peanutbuttery, creamy goodness in no time.

As I said earlier....if you are on a totally crazy "drop ten pounds in five hours!" diet, this breakfast is not for you. But if you like eating wholesome, energizing brain food, this here is your dish :)
