Granola

Easy, good for you, no preservatives.

stuff you need!
You will need:
3 cups of rolled oats(aka old fashioned)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted- at room temp its a solid)
1/4 cup honey
dash salt
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp vanilla

Combine everything but the rolled oats. Mix well. Stir into the oats and coat completely. Spread oat mixture on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until oats begin to brown (about ten mins or so....keep a close eye on it).
While the oats are baking, combine 1 cup of your favorite mix ins and set aside. I used cranberries and almonds. You can use whatever you want, but if you choose chocolate chips do not mix them in until the oats have cooled.
mmmm hippy food.
After your oats have browned, turn off the oven, stir in the mix ins and put the pan back in the oven for another 2 minutes. Remove pan from the oven and let sit until granola sets and comes to room temp. Enjoy it mixed with yogurt, as cereal, or just as a snack. You can even use it to make a topping for a fruit crisp.
