How to boil an egg

I know this seems pretty self explanatory, but as you know, we go through a lot of eggs. I feel like I'm kind of an eggspert. Get it? Eggspert? Fine.

Look how fluffy!
Anyways,  if you want a perfectly cooked hard boiled egg, with a fluffy yolk and a shell that peels right off, heed this advise!

Place however many eggs you want in a sauce pan, being careful not to crowd. Cover with water. Turn stove top on high. Bring to a boil. Cover, turn off heat. Walk away from the eggs! Let them sit and steam for 10 minutes. Come back to the eggs, drain, and place eggs in a bowl of ice water. Let the eggs sit in the ice bath for about 5 minutes or so, and then peel. The cold water makes the eggs pull away from the shell, making them easier to peel.

Enjoy your perfectly cooked, fluffy yolked, hard boiled eggs.
